Mweni is situated in the Northern Drakensberg between Royal Natal and Cathedral Peak. The value and spectacular beauty of the Mweni Valley offers a unique blend of opportunities. Activities in Mweni include hiking, swimming, canoeing, horse riding, bird watching and cultural activities such as visiting the local sangoma, traditional dancing and visiting the local homesteads.

Local Mweni community members have been properly trained as guides and can guide hikers on day hikes into the Drakensberg foothills or on longer expeditions onto the summit. Not only are they helpful in finding the path but they are a helpful safety measure for smaller groups hiking to the top of the escarpment. Hikes can be tailored to suit clients needs.
